PROJECT MANAGER

Position Summary: Provide planning, logistical leadership and project management for product development using our Product Lifecycle Process (PLP). The Project Manager is responsible for providing project leadership to build commitment of cross functional teams for and accurate execution of projects to ensure successful product development/deployment efforts, as measured against planned schedule, product cost, and project cost. Manage the schedule of outsourced development projects. Harness the support of all functional disciplines.
Position Responsibilities:

Coordinate project-scheduling activities including identifying project task dependencies and resource requirements, and assessing project risks/mitigation strategies. Interface with other departments, companies, and partners to achieve platform and business goals. Ensure that PLP projects meet customer specifications, target costs, schedules, and approved budgets.

Develop, execute & maintain planned schedules to initiate and track projects to conclusion. Manage the execution of projects including schedule, product costs, project budget and required documentation to conclusion.

Serve as a subject matter expert as it relates to internal development processes, metrics, team dynamics, risk mitigation, and industry best practices in these areas.

Develop, manage and communicate the team project portfolio and metrics companywide. Ensure all cross-functional teams are given the opportunity to address specific deliverables, risks and dependencies that are associated with new products in order to assess required level of effort and timeline.

Provide ongoing status communications to all stakeholders and offer remedial advice for projects not proceeding according to plan.

Provide guidance and apply expert level knowledge in areas such as conducting project risk assessment, design reviews, and lessons learned activities

Implement continuous process improvement based on findings and best practices used in industry.

Extensively interface cross-functionally with all company departments for project communication.
Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years experience with project management

FACILITIES MANAGER
Position Summary: Plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs for a 60,000 sq ft facility. Hands-on management in the completion of the day-to-day activities including maintenance of the facility, equipment and machinery, HVAC, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manages the maintenance of the building, grounds, equipment and plant facilities
- Installs, moves, repairs, and removes equipment and utilities within the building
- Keeps in compliance with and abreast of all OSHA and Hazmat regulations
- Contracts with and supervises all outside contractors
- Develops and maintains Preventive Maintenance Schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery
- Prepares budgets and secure estimates and cost quotes as needed
- Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices
- All other reasonable duties, as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:
- At least five years experience in facility management
- Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills

MIS / IT
SOFTWARE PRODUCT MANAGER
Position Summary:> Reporting to Senior Director Program Management, this role is responsible for the life cycle management of our software and SaaS products. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
Position Responsibilities: You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with engineering to define product release requirements, marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, and sales as a subject matter expert. Responsibilities include:
- Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
- Driving a solution set across development teams
- Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
- Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.
- Work with direct and indirect sales channels to properly position the product
- Maintain a keen understanding of our competition
- Develop and maintain a unique selling proposition and competitive positioning for our products
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:
- BS/BA in a business related field (MBA preferred)
- 5 years of software or SaaS product management experience.
- Knowledgeable in key software technologies including SaaS technologies, Oracle, Linux, and Android Operating Systems.

BUSINESS SYSTEMS MANAGER
FAST, Inc (www.fastinc.com), headquartered in Stratford CT and a global leader in commercial foodservice controls with offices in London, Shanghai and Singapore, engineers and manufactures commercial kitchen appliance control solutions which deliver appliance manufacturers and foodservice operators increased food quality and safety, lower operating costs, greater profitability. We have an immediate need for a Business Systems Manager who will be accountable for the design, development and execution of key business systems which drive increased business effectiveness and efficiencies in core organizational functions and business processes.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership around the ERP/MRP and CRM system programs so utilization can be expanded, and the ability of employees and systems can be enhanced to meet the needs of the company
- Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals; identify and resolve systems issues.
- Provide orientation and training to end-users for all modified and new systems
- Conduct research on software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:
- BS/BA or 10+ years equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge of a mid-tier ERP/MRP and CRM system
- Certification in Sage MAS500, and SalesLogix experience preferred
- Understanding of relational database structures, ideally SQL Server
- Experience with discrete manufacturing processes
- Ability to effectively communicate with and direct system users and their supervisors.
- Capability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
